Day 6 - Rose Lodge to Corvallis
Location
Woke up to find our campsite soaked with dew. Hit the road for what promised to be an easier day of riding. Brett, as usual, was miles ahead of the rest of us. Unfortunately for him, we rode by a giant casino, realized a giant buffet may be within and turned around. There was indeed a giant buffet, and the three of us ate until we could no longer move. After a short digestion period, we hit the road again. We exchanged a few txt messages with Brett and determined he had ridden ten miles off course, again.
Upon arrival in Corvallis, we came across a very busy public pool. It turned out to be opening day, and entrance was $1. We immediately paid our fees and hit the pool. The water felt great, but it was a bit chilly out. Our stay was rather short, but we definitely got our money worth. And by money's worth, I mean an extremely hairy man wearing very tight and short, skin-colored swim trunks. Wow.
Our next goal was finding a place to set up tents for the night. We ended up at a Little Caesers pizza joint, where Cam proceeded to down a pepperroni pizza by himself. Sean took the lid of the pizza box and made us a nice sign explaining our situation and asking for a place to camp. Shortly after, an old man walked by and paused to read the sign. After strolling back to his truck and discussing it over with the old lady, we were in. Spent the night in a calm backyard, surrounded by a well-kept garden. Can't ask for much more.
